2017.06.23: Letter from the Headteacher
Dear Parents & Carers
Thank you to all parents and carers for sending your children to school so well equipped for the hot weather. Extra water bottles, sun cream and hats have all been very useful in ensuring that pupils have been able to enjoy normal school life as well as the heat!
We are also very lucky to have such large and airy classrooms as well as a number of air conditioned teaching rooms. All in all, we have enjoyed the sunshine and escaped any of the ill effects of a heatwave!
Fire Brigade Presentation and Water Safety
Given the warm weather, we had a timely whole school assembly on water safety led by firefighters from the St Neots station.
The key point that pupils were alerted to is the importance of swimming only in areas which are supervised by lifeguards – no matter how hot the day or how calm the water seems to be. The fire officers gave example of how tragedies can occur in local rivers and open water and the many dangers that lurk beneath the surface. Their advice was very simple – if the water is not supervised by a lifeguard – don’t get in!

Year 6 Enterprise Challenge
Next week sees the grand finale of the Year 6 enterprise activities and the students deserve great credit for all their work so far. The range of different products, services and activities have been encouragingly impressive and all businesses have enjoyed success.
Photos of some of these stalls and activities can be found on the website.
Year 8 Trip – Change of Date
Owing to an issue with booking the trampoline park, the Year 8 trip to Stevenage will now take place on 7th July 2017 instead of the 19th July as previously advertised.
The Year 8 Graduation Assembly on the 19th will of course run as planned.
So for the sake of clarity;
